Contemplative Psychology & Science is a growing field that aims to provide a clearer understanding and evidence of the processes, capacities and outcomes of the contemplative practices.

This field includes wide area of research and practices, especially in the domains of mindfulness and mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs); mind wandering and rumination; pro-social and affective contemplative qualities such as self-compassion, compassion or kindness; awareness, metacognition and attention; contemplative psychotherapy; yoga and its evidence; and other approaches to meditation and contemplation.
